Description

WeldFit is looking for a self-motivated candidate with experience to fill our CNC Lathe Machinist position. This position is responsible for operating the CNC Lathes in the shop by performing the duties and responsibilities below.

• Machine parts to specifications using machines such as Vertical Turning Lathes
• Able to understand and edit G code and M code programs
• Understand speeds and feeds for machining and proper set ups
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Set up, adjust and operate all machines
• Check work pieces to ensure alignment and materials onto machines
• Clean lubricate machines as needed
• Monitor the feed and speed of the CNC machines
• Work and think safety at all times

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior machine shop experience required
• Must have at least 3 years CNC machining

• Ability to pass vision test
• Willing to admit to hearing baseline test
